Board Bios

Laura Addison, President
Laura grew up in Chicago and moved to Georgia 12 years ago. Together with her wife Sherry, and 3 beautiful furbabies (Charlie, Rizzo, and Zoey) she has lived in Huntley Hills for just over 7 years. She often refers to Huntley Hills as the “hidden gem” inside the perimeter. Laura enjoys being involved in the neighborhood and community and is excited to see the growth and development happening all around us.

Laura enjoyed an active 20-year career in corporate america, spending the last 13 years of it as a regional sales manager and trainer, which involved weekly travel. While she enjoyed seeing most every corner of the country, 4 years ago she had the opportunity to turn in her TSA Pre-check pass for a career in Real Estate. “Now I get to stay home – and help others buy and sell theirs! I absolutely love it!” When she’s not showing and selling houses, Laura and Sherry enjoy traveling, hitting local breweries and festivals with friends, or floating in the pool catching some rays.

Marci Hooper-Smith, Treasurer
Marci, originally from Ohio and Michigan, has lived in Huntley Hills for 45 years. While raising two sons she served for 14 years on the Swim & Tennis Club Board in various offices and committees including President, Swim Team “Mom”, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator and Newsletter Editor. In 1996 she was on the Founding Board of the Huntley Hills Neighborhood Association and served as its first President. For the next 12 years she served in multiple positions and continued to produce the neighborhood newsletter.

In 1999, Marci, now an “empty nester”, was hired by the City of Chamblee and was employed there for 21 years until her retirement in 2020. She, and her husband Bill, have 5 kids plus spouses, 10 grandchildren and two cats. The children consider her the “critter whisperer” as her love of animals (and lots of critter food) attracts birds, squirrels, possums, raccoons, hawks, deer and the occasional stray cat to her back yard. She loves working in her yard, NASCAR, classic car shows and reading lighthearted murder mysteries. Marci re-joined the HHNA Board last year to fill the vacant Treasurer position and is looking forward to continuing that role after this election.

Rachel Martinez Branch, Communications
Rachel moved to Huntley Hills from Brookhaven in 2022 with her husband, Jonathan. Their household will be growing this year, as they are expecting their first child this summer. Rachel has been a resident of the Atlanta area since 2016, when she relocated from California, where she grew up. A 2014 graduate of UCLA, Rachel began her career with PwC in San Francisco before relocating to Atlanta, and she currently works as a program manager in the Finance department at Meta. She is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, and you can often find her enjoying Huntley Hills on neighborhood walks.

Carolyn Weber, Membership
Carolyn has lived in Huntley Hills for over 30 years. She was born in New Jersey, but moved to North Carolina when she was in middle school. She came to Atlanta for college, loved it and never left! For most of her career, Carolyn worked in corporate America, doing IT work for AT&T. For the past two years, she has worked at St. Vincent de Paul, a non-profit which assists people with rent, utilities and food.

Outside of work, Carolyn’s favorite activity is running. She runs each week with the Chamblee Runners group and also enjoys doing 5K and 10K races around Atlanta. She also spends time cooking, volunteering at her church and working in her garden. Carolyn is a current board member, serving as the Membership Chair. She enjoys meeting new neighbors at the various HHNA events and encouraging people to get involved. She is looking forward to planning more great events for Huntley Hills this year.

Yvonne Bubienko, Community Relations
Yvonne grew up in NYC and moved to Georgia 23 years ago. She purchased her house in Huntley Hills over 16 years ago and could not have found a better place to call home. She enjoys the natural beauty, trees, flowers, wildlife all while living in the city.

Huntley Hills has provided Yvonne and all of us with a true sense of community, supportive and caring neighbors that offer a helping hand, a needed hug or a kind word. Yvonne enjoys serving on the board as head of community relations as it allows her to meet so many wonderful people that she otherwise may not have a chance to as well as create and participate in events that harvest that sense of community and welcome new neighbors with open arms. She is grateful to be allowed to be part of this amazing group as well as this amazing community.

Yvonne is employed with Metro Brokers, Better Homes and Gardens and has been honored to be a residential loan officer and has enjoyed helping people purchase their own homes for well over 20 years.

Greg Schwartz, Webmaster
Greg, his wife Amber, daughter Millie and golden retriever Duke have lived in Huntley Hills since late 2013. Over that time, he’s come to understand the sense of community within the neighborhood and appreciate the diverse residents through his experience as a block captain for five plus years, many hours on the tennis courts with Huntley Hills teams, serving on the HHSTC tennis committee and supporting his wife’s previous service on the HHSTC board. He has even survived the rigorous Chamblee 101 training! With his experience from ten years working in operations and program management at an energy research non-profit, Greg intends to remain an active participant within our neighborhood and Chamblee community by serving as the webmaster on the HHNA board.
